Jeff Rayburn
Jeff Rayburn, a resident of Ithaca, Michigan, has been directing our chorus since early 2024. Jeff comes to us with a substantial amount of experience and expertise in Barbershop Harmony. He has been a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 49 years. His first quartet, back in the mid-seventies, was called “Person Expression”, and they won the Pioneer District Quartet Contest in the fall of 1978. He has also sung in a popular quartet for the past 30+ years, called the “Blue Ribbon Coalition”, which has competed and also performed on many chapter shows throughout the state. Jeff is currently singing in a male octet called the “8 Man Vocal Band”, which is keeping his love of 4-part a capella singing paramount in his life.Jeff is also a member of our local community theater group, called the “Gratiot County Players”. He currently sits on their Board of Directors, and has been the Vocal Director for such musicals as “Beauty and the Beast”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Spamalot”, and “Grease”. When he is not involved in some sort of ”musical endeavor”, Jeff enjoys golfing, camping, and spending time at the family cottage with family and friends.
